The Nashville Swing Dance Club holds classes 3 times a week every week and provides a wonderful learning atmosphere for all the partnership dances from Swing to Country to Ballroom and to Latin. Our classes are geared towards learning to dance on all levels from beginner to advanced in a special way while providing an unmatched social environment in which to learn how to dance and have fun in the process. Everyone is welcome at any or all of our classes whether you are a member or an honored guest or whether you have a partner or are single.

After 4 weeks of a particular dance at the Skate Center on Monday nights, that dance then moves to our Trevecca location on Trevecca's college campus here in Nashville on Tuesdays for 8 more weeks in the same dance, 4 of which are intermediate and 4 of which are advanced, with each dance class being an hour long class. So any dance that starts on a Monday will go 12 straight weeks before it's entire series run is concluded.

Again, YOU DO NOT NEED A PARTNER AT ANY OF OUR CLASSES! We always encourage changing partners to facilitate a more efficient level of learning and so that everyone has a chance to dance with a partner on all levels.

Our classes always feature partner rotation, recommended but not mandatory, to insure that everybody has a chance to constantly dance with someone on all levels to help the learning process. Dancing will always be an activity that you can do your whole life providing a special enjoyment that only dancing can bring while serving as an enjoyable source of great physical exercise. Always remember that when you dance you smile and that alone will always make life better!

Turn into Trevecca's main entrance (333 Murfreesboro Pike) onto Lester Ave. and go to the top of the hill and take a left off of the small traffic circle onto Hart St. and the last building on your left (approx. 50 yards down on your left) is a 2 story brick building with glass double doors and a black mailbox in front with #70 on it. The whole 2nd floor the building is an auditorium where classes and workshops are held. Ample parking is available directly across the street and if need be, adjacent to the building as well.

The well-loved Saturday night swing dance at Otter Creek church is back and we are SO excited! Dances will be held in the gymnasium around the back side of the building. People of all ages and stages are welcome--even if you're new and have never danced before! We hope you will join us!

We offer a free beginning and intermediate lesson at 7 and then open dancing 8-10.

Join David Wallace for an Advanced Cha Cha Class @ Trevecca!

Class 7:30 to 9:30

The class is run by David Wallace, a 40-year dance veteran who lives in Nolensville. Wallace has been trained professionally with Fred Astaire Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been teaching for more than 20 years. He also has a background as a professional DJ, so he provides a mix of music at all of NSDC functions.

There’s no dress code or real rules to attend. The event is for anyone of any age, and of any experience level.
