On Saturday March 28th, thousand of dancers will be participating in casino rueda flash mobs all over the world, and I'm happy to announce that Nashville will once again be participating in this international event.

The plan is to dance at the Bicentennial Mall this year, getting pretty footage of the columns and the capital as our backdrop.  However, in the case of rain or freezing temperatures, then we will have the flashmob in the Farmer's Market food court.

We will be calling basic rueda moves like enchulfa, adios, sombrero, and dame to everyone's favorite song "Yo Vengo de Cuba."  We will dance only one or two songs so try to arrive 30 minutes early for this event because you don't want to miss a minute of it.

And if you want to practice your rueda moves before the big day, you will have 4 opportunities to do so. Your first opportunity will be at Danceworld, Friday March 20th at 8pm.  I will teach beginner rueda and Odigene will teach intermediate rueda.  The cost is $10 for the lesson and party.  Your second chance will be at Havana Nights at 404 Bar, Saturday March 21st at 9pm.  The basic lesson will be devoted to casino rueda with a great party to follow.  The cost for this one is $8.  Your third opportunity is Monday, March 23rd at 7:30pm at Miss Fit Academy which we cover casino rueda during every lesson.  The cost is $8.  Your final opportunity will be at Ibiza Nightclub, Thursday 26th 10pm-11pm.  We will be calling ruedas for an full hour and this event is free to all.

Also, check out our video from last year below.  We really had a blast and I'm so excited to be doing it all again this year.
