Music City Invitational is a high-spirited, enthusiastic event that will make you
want to dance on your banquet table. With over 20 years in the making, we have crafted our
competition into a memorable experience. Besides the excitement of competing, we offer
several other perks that other competitions don't:

We offer multiple packages including the opportunity to explore downtown Nashville, attend a hockey game, and even perform for the fans! Prize money is awarded to students, teachers and professionals in multiple divisions. Vendors for video, shoes, dresses, jewelry and make-up will be on hand for browsing, service and last-minute needs.

deadlines met, on-deck area utilized, and documentary accuracy).


Prize Money

Up to 00 in Top Teacher Prize Money
Up to 00 in Professional Prize Money

Must have 200 entries to qualify for 100% of prize.
Less than 200 entries will receive 50% of prize.


*Professional Theater Arts is to consist of onecouple dancing a solo routine to a song of their choice. 50% of the routine must consist of lifts. Props are not allowed. May not exceed 3:30 minutes.

*Professional Showdance can consist of 1-5 performers on the floor. Props may be used. Lifts are not required. Anything goes in this category (i.e. broadway, ballroom, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, ballet...). May not exceed 3:30 minutes. There is no limit on how many Showdance entries one can enter.

*Professional Formations must have 6 or more performers on the floor. Props are allowed. Must be at least 2:30 minutes long and cannot exceed 4:30 minutes. Must be creative and entertaining. Lifts are not required.
