Holler & Stomp would like to invite you to come Dance Yer Ass Off! on Thursday, November 29th at The Cannery Ballroom!
Dance Yer Ass Off! is a one-of-a-kind urban dance party that draws people together for an evening of foot-stompin’, partner-swingin’, square dancin’ fun. Driven by the infectious rhythm of old time music, it’s a celebration of traditional southern culture that translates the spirit of a simpler time to a modern crowd. This certainly ain’t your grandma’s square dancing, nor is it the same as you might remember from 3rd grade gym glass. In fact, Dance Yer Ass Off! has been coined as the ‘newest hipster dance craze’.
Doors will open at 7:30 PM for a happy hour of mingling with drink specials sponsored by the local Greenbrier Distillery and hors devours compliments of the all-natural seasoning blend, Rhino Rub. The first 100 guests to arrive will also receive extra special Holler & Stomp party favors, so be sure to show up early!
Local funnyman Matt Lindahl will be the emcee for the night and old time troubadour, Jake Cox, will kick things off with an intimate performance- followed by a rockin’ set from Nikki Lane & The Miscellaneous Strangers. Once the pumps have been primed, square dancing will commence and continue throughout the night - with instruction called by Te Claw and set to a soundtrack of rollickin’ fiddle tunes by The Hogslop String Band. While folks catch their breath between dances, members from Nashville’s No Shame Theater Group will entertain with comedic theatrics.
Sounds like a hoot, right?

Also on hand will be the Old Time Photo Booth to offer complimentary memento-photos, as will be other vendors such as Annie Wiliams Leather Goods, Morally Good Vinyl, Tricycle Sweets and High Class Hillbilly vintage clothing. If you’re lookin for a good time, you ain’t gonna find a better one in Nashville on this night than swingin' around one of the nicest dance floors in town. All you need is a left and right foot itchin to dance - so grab a partner and come join in the fun!
The price of admission is and the event is open to everyone ages 18 and up.
