Free beginning Argentine tango dance lesson from 7:30-8:30 PM with instructor Mary Yang. (No partner or experience necessary.) We have also invited experienced tangueros from Nashville's tango community to take the class with you and help you.

8:30-10:30 PM Alternative Milonga with music by DJ Mary Yang

What’s an Alternative Milonga? It’s a tango social dance event where neotango, nuevo tango and contemporary tango music is played as well as some music not usually associated with tango.

Argentine tango is a vibrant and playful dance between two people. It has a rich potential for expression, improvisation and connection and is danced in both modern and traditional styles. It is often described as a passionate dance, because of the close connection partners can have, the character of the music, and also relating to some of the dance's history.

PARKING: There is usually free parking on the street right in front of Play Dance Bar on Church Street or just around the corner on 16th Ave. There is also a free parking lot on McMillan Street near the corner of Church Street.
