The Essence of Flamenco Show

Flamenco Louisville will be performing one of their classical flamenco concerts, reflecting a weaving of cultures from over 500 years ago.

“La Esencia del Flamenco (The Essence of Flamenco)” is an immersion in the shared collaborative language of structure and improvisation that is the heart of this intricate art form, offering not only original works, but also pieces created from the shared imaginations of some of the great living masters of the form.

Through cante (singing), baile (dancing) and toca (playing of musical instruments), performers and audience will explore a vast emotional landscape, a place of contentment, desperation, solitude, companionship, life and death through elements of melody, poetry, rhythm, and movement.
