Tell me! Who's the BAND?
- The Joe Folan Trio is a Jazz Guitar Trio known for their exciting melodic improvisations that harken back to the bluesy attitude of Blue Note Records between 1950 and 1970.
- Unafraid to explore, they also showcase their own original compositions.
- For over 2.5 years, the Joe Folan Trio has hosted one of the most highly-regarded jazz jams in Nashville at The Villager Tavern. Every Monday from 11-2am, the trio opens with a house band set followed by a jam session with some of the most in demand musicians in the city.
- Including the likes of Joel Frahm, Roy Agee, Scott Mulvahill, Joe Reed and more.
- The Joe Folan Trio has fostered a supportive jazz community where intermediate players can rub elbows with their contemporaries as well as world class talent. You can catch the band at The Villager Tavern every Monday, but they’ve also played various other venues around town including Honeytree Meadery, Wilburn Street Tavern and The Joseph Hotel.
- They look forward to bringing their stylings to a place where swing music belongs, the dance hall!
